Privacy

spokane.beer is a local guide operated by Spokane Market Hive LLC. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We wrote it in plain English on purpose.

What we collect

  • Product analytics events: page views, clicks, filter changes, and search submissions. Events are stored in our own database; we do not ship them to third-party trackers by default.
  • Request metadata: a daily-salted SHA-256 hash of your IP, user-agent string, and the URL path. The raw IP is never written to the database.
  • Form submissions: when you submit the partner form, we store the name, email, organization, and message you provide so we can reply.
  • Cookies: a session identifier in sessionStorage to connect events within a single visit, and a theme preference in localStorage. Both are local to your browser.

What we do not collect

  • Payment information. We do not take payments on this site.
  • Location beyond the neighborhood you choose in a filter.
  • Precise demographic profiles; we do not cross-reference data brokers.

Why

We use analytics to decide what to build next (which neighborhoods are under-covered, which filters are used, which pages load slowly). We use form data to respond to partner inquiries.

Your choices

  • Block analytics in your browser; the site continues to work.
  • Email hello@spokane.sh to request deletion of any submission you sent us.
